Getting Started

1. Signing up

Once you've signed up, you'll be prompted to enter Therapist and Practice information. You can skip this step for later if you like, and all fields are optional, though strongly recommended. You may enter as many credentials as you have.

Once you're in, you'll see a Dashboard. After you've added your first patient and given them assignments, this screen will change with exercise submissions and additional information.

Need some help? Use the widget on the bottom right, or hit the Support button in the top header.

2. Discover resources or add your own

First, familiarize yourself with the Resource library. This is where all the assignments are, and you can add your own links and files, too.

Search assignments by modality (CBD, DBT, ACT, Solution Focused, etc) or disorder, such as depression, anxiety or trauma.

Make Reflective yours by building your own tailor-made assignments to assign to your patients. For now, just choose one of the assignments in the library.

You can upload your own files, such as PDFs or images, and add your own links. Links that are added to the resource library display for all your clients

3. Add a patient

Adding a patient is as simple as adding their email address. Go to the "Patients" screen from the left hand navigation and click "Add Patient."

You don't need to enter their real information if there's any privacy concern. We are HIPAA certified, but we know that entering patient information can be a sensitive issue. But their email address is required for them to get the invitation and sign in to the app, and you'll need to add a name - even just a nickname - which they'll see on your invite.

4. Assign worksheets and resources

Once you've added the patient, you'll be in their blank workbook. Assign worksheets, add links, files, or safety plan. In the workbook, add an assignment for them to do.

When browsing the available assignments, preview it to make sure it's what you're looking for. Then, assign it to your patient.

After assigning it to your patient, you'll be able to set the schedule and reminders. Your patient can choose to receive Email or In-App notification reminders to do their exercises.

5. Invite Patient

The patient will receive an email inviting them to join Reflective. The invitation will include your name for identification purposes, as well as links to download the Reflective app on both Android and iOS. To accept the connection, the patient must sign up using the email address to which the invite was sent.

Patient can't find the email? Go to their patient record in Reflective and click the button to "Resend invite"

6. Patient Experience

Once logged in on their device, either web or mobile app, they'll see the exercises and links you assigned them.

They can update their reminder preferences in "Settings" (the gear icon).

They will be reminded according their settings and your schedule, and submissions will appear for you when you're logged in.

There is a daily digest if any of your patients submit exercises so you'll know if things are being done, but we do not have other notifications for therapist - we don't want to bombard you! The goal is to be in the background and not cause you more work or noise, but the information is there if you want to access it.

Canceling During Trial Period

If you cancel your subscription during your trial period, you will not be charged! You have 60 days to give things a try.

Why do we give 60 days, instead of the standard 30 or 7? We give such a generous trial period. because we know it can take some time to decide if Reflective is a good fit for a patient, and if they'll be open to trying out a new tool. We think they'll love it, but want to make sure you and they are comfortable before jumping in.
