Overview
A safety plan in Reflective helps patients prepare for potential crisis situations by compiling useful contacts, coping strategies, and resources in one accessible location. Once added, the patient can view and complete their safety plan in the mobile app, where phone numbers become tap-to-dial and web links can be accessed directly. It’s often helpful to guide the patient through filling out their safety plan while you’re together, ensuring they understand and feel comfortable with the information included.

Steps to Create and Assign a Safety Plan
1. Access the Patient Profile
- Go to the Patients section from the main navigation.
- Select the specific patient to whom you want to add a safety plan.
2. Open the “Crisis Management” Tab
- In the patient’s profile, click the Crisis Management tab.
3. Add the Safety Plan
- Click Add Safety Plan.
- Once added, the patient will see a “Safety Plan” icon in their app navigation menu.
4. Encourage Patients to Complete the Plan
- Patients should fill out the safety plan on their mobile device.
- It’s good practice to do this together so you can provide guidance and ensure accuracy.c
Patient Experience in the Mobile App
- After completing the plan, any phone numbers listed are tap-to-dial, allowing the patient to immediately place a call during a crisis.
- Links to resources or helplines open directly in a web browser, making it easy to access support services.
